I came across the work of Koo Schadler while doing some research related to my medieval painting class during my last semester. I was absolutely blown away by her skills and she has an interesting method for blending the paint layers of her pieces. She works in the egg tempera medium (which I have gained an enormous respect and understanding for) and she even has some metalpoint drawings as well. You can check out Koo's incredible work on her website here.

Today's spotlight is on Masai Asantewa also known as Comic Munch. I came across his work via Instagram and I just love the cartoon style with frequent 90's references. Plus, there are tons of afro girls! Check out his stuff here.
Not that long ago, I came across the wonderful work of Beth Cavener. Her animal sculptures are thought provoking, visually interesting and each tells its own narrative. Browsing around her site, she shows the pieces in progress while she works on them as well as how she assembles them. Her sculptures deserve an audience, so go check them out!
